My name is Albert Saorin. Born in Barcelona in 1963. Now, I live in Poble Sec, a popular district of Barcelona (Spain).

I studied Automotive in the early '80s, when I was young and I was interested in everything but study. In 1997 I joined the Escola Llotja for studying industrial design specialty that had always interested me. There I obtained a degree in Industrial Design in 2002.

Parallel to my studies in automotive, I worked eight years as a car mechanic in a small workshop in Barcelona. I learned the craft and I have really good memories of that time.

During the military service I was assigned to Tercio de Armada, San Fernando (Cadiz), a quarter in which I worked as a mechanic in a variety of amphibious vehicles. This is not something that you can see every day. This, lots of snacks of squid and the placid life in Cadiz made everything more bearable!

In 1989 I was hired by an automotive engineering office specialized in motorcycle development. I was the only mechanic, apart from some part-time staff, and I was happy to have all this modern machinery for me. I learned how to use lathes, grinders and a dynamometer with which to develop future engines for companies such as GAC, Alfer, Honda, etc... Good times!

From 1991 to the present work at the firm SEAT, a Volkswagen Group subsidiary dedicated to the car manufacturing. In it I had the opportunity to work in various fields: experimental car body, engine test benches and DMU analyst (Virtual Model), which still active today.

Occasionally I have worked in interior design projects and creating lighting environments with colours, furniture and personal highlights of which add sketches soon. I'm still looking for my dream house and some drawings are proof of this.

Outside the professional field I work at drawing and music. Other activities that interest me and often practise are photography and travel.
